Thank you all you haters for all the hate. See you in 2k19!

Episode #35 "Celebrating the end of Birthdays," is now available for your listening pleasure.  Find it on all of the podcasting apps and things.

Well well, well…

So you may expect a year in review from the SHY Pod. Defying all podcast logic, as they’re wont to do, Carl and Catfish cast the end of this year not with a "Best of..." the podcast, but a "Best of..." times they have been assaulted with beverages in public.  We call it Happy Threw Beer!

No?  Fine then… I mean, Happy New Year! Catfish TOTALLY knows the words to “Auld Lang Syne,” he swears (and Carl is dishonest if he tells you he didn't have to google the spelling [of "Auld Lang Syne,” not “Catfish”]).

Look at that, another year has flown by. There are few metrics by which the boys measure their time on the earth, but one is whether they have put a dent into the overall amount of self-hatred in the world. How well have they done?  Don’t ask Catfish; he’ll just say “okay” or “fine.”

Hit us up with your resolutions! Carl would love to see your genuine desires for a better life in 2019, and he will do his damnedest to keep Catfish's cynicism from mocking them.

You know the drill by now: make sure you #subscribe to and #rate the podcast on the apps and the things. Tell your friends and acquaintances, but please don’t tell Carl’s family.

And DON'T forget that the boys will be LIVE on stage in two weeks at the Tucson Fringe Festival!  Come check them out and be sure to bring your favorite affirmations (or some other BS) to share.  Show details HERE

B-B-B-B-Bonus, you magic elves!

Happy Merry! As another thank(?) you to our amazing audience for being so good all year long, Carl and Catfish read off twelve Christmas-related affirmations for your listening pleasure(?) on this,  Christmas Day itself. Look forward to carrying the spirit of Christmas around with you all year long, like luggage or a bad perm.

Episode #32 "Anika and Social Media," is now available for your listening pleasure.  Find it on all of the podcasting apps and things.

Our good friend, Anika Bakken, joins Carl and Catfish to discuss their mutual love/hate relationship with the social media.  Don’t worry all of you cool babies reading this on social media; you definitely fall into the “love” portion.

Anika discusses growing up immersed in various platforms, how her relationship with it has changed over time, and her goals to continue using it to help others.

Meanwhile, Catfish deflects per usual but commits to the gag at least. And Carl continues working on his poor impression of a good interviewer. 9/10, would interview again (but parking was horrendous.)

Episode #31 "Of Catfish and Stage," is now available for your listening pleasure.  Find it on all of the podcasting apps and things.

Have you been counting the days?  What do you mean what do I mean?  Are you really telling me that you haven’t been keeping track of what is happening in a month?! You guys, it’s the Stop Hating Yourself first ever LIVE PODCAST RECORDING!!!

And, as you surely can guess, the boys may not be too certain about this prospect.  What if nobody shows up?  What if the venue doesn’t get them the plush recliners that Catfish and Carl requested?  What if Catfish gets a flat?  What if EVERYBODY shows up?  What if Carl’s mustache doesn’t grow back in time?

Then Carl shares an update on his continuing health issues and Catfish adds another caveat to his online dating profile, because sometimes beggars can be choosers.

Finally, Catfish is challenged on just pointing out why white people suck during Affirmations (or some other BS) rather than addressing them substantively.

Episode #30, "Two Dead Things: HW and Catfish's Dating Life," is now available for your listening pleasure.  Find it on all of the podcasting apps and things.

In this episode, Carl and Catfish catch up after a Thanksgiving apart.  How was the turkey?  Did meemaw remember the pumpkin pie?  Did Uncle Dronnseph drink too much again?  Next, they move on to discussing two dead things: Former President George H. W. Bush and Catfish's chances of success on these new-fangled dating apps that all the kids are using these days!

Carl shares his appreciation for all those listeners who supported his Movember campaign and threatens to drag Catfish into the Movember madness next year. And finally, Catfish uses the Affirmation or some other BS to recruit friends for Carl.
